Christine Smith

My name is Christine Smith, and I have lived in the valley for 20 years. Throughout my entire adult life, I have worked with individuals with traumatic brain injuries and developmental disabilities. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of diverse care needs, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to supporting individuals and families through challenging transitions.

Shifting my focus into dementia care feels like a natural and meaningful next step. I am passionate about the GUIDE (Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience) program and its mission to help individuals living with dementia remain safely at home with the people they love for as long as possible.

Why I Love Working Here:

“I truly enjoy working with older adults and feel honored to support families navigating a journey with dementia. The GUIDE program’s emphasis on caregiver education and ongoing support aligns perfectly with my values. Being able to empower caregivers, strengthen understanding, and help families feel more confident is incredibly rewarding.”

Balancing both fields has strengthened my ability to stay calm under pressure, communicate effectively, and support others with compassion and reliability. I bring these skills to every interaction as I continue to serve and connect with families in our community”.
